Welcome to Springdale Parent Volunteer Club (SPVC)!
As a Parent Volunteer (PV), you will be working with the school to promote a vibrant learning community for our children. Whether you are a homemaker or a busy professional, there are always opportunities for you to contribute your skills, effort and time to enhance our children’s learning experiences.
Here are some upcoming events that require PVs’ support:
As a PV, you will also have opportunities to bond with other like-minded parents. Here’re some past events that our PVs were involve in:
a. School Events
Children’s Day Carnival
SPVC organised a game carnival for students during Children’s Day celebration. The kids had fun playing the games and collecting points to exchange for gifts during their recess time.
P6 Post PSLE activity- I CAN!
SPVC organised a session to teach the P6 students some basic life skills. The children learnt some tips on sewing, ironing, washing and folding of their own clothes in their daily life.
Teacher’s Day Performance
PVs, together with some of the P6 students, put up a song item using glow sticks. Although the hall was dark, it did not deter the rest of the students from joining in the singing. PVs ended the performance by thanking the teachers in 4 languages (Malay, Tamil, Chinese and English).
b. Bonding Activities
Festive Celebration
PVs come together during festive occasions to celebrate. For example, during Deepavali, PVs came together to learn how to make light ornament using paper and string. They also had hands-on session of making Rangoli and learning the techniques from our Indian parent volunteers to make the perfect Rangoli.

Move! Healthy SPVC - Fun with Bowling!
PVs went on a bowling outing to Safra Punggol. While none of the PVs was a professional bowler, all of them enjoyed themselves thoroughly during the game.
Move! Healthy SPVC- SCA-MAZING Walk & Picnic @ Botanic Garden
PVs and their children had a great bonding time at the Botanic Garden. Parents and children were grouped into teams and had a fun time finding stops and murals using clues and completing challenges.
